New Toy

We started putting Jayden in his saucer, he is still a bit little but he enjoys it a lot. He is always smiling. He also started flipping on his tummy (Chloe was a year old before she did this, he does it at four months). I didn't get a picture but I will soon.

Update

Hi, we have no new pictures to add, bu we just wanted to update people on Jayden's condition. After three additional nights in the hospital he is now feeling much better, and he is almost like his old self again. He had to stay because he needed oxygen, and an IV because he wouldn't eat or drink anything. It was a very tiring week, but we all rested up durung the weekend. I'll post some pictures this week.

A Night at the Hospital

Jayden and Chloe are both sick. They have a terrible cough, runny noses etc... last night Jayden was wheezing after supper, so we decided to go to the emergency room. We brought Chloe to get checked for ear infections at the same time. Chloe was fine, she just has a persistent cough that will go away with time. Jayden on the other hand had to spend a night at the hospital. Daddy and Chloe finally left the hospital around 11:00 PM. Jayden and I spent the night. He has a Bronchital virus, so they monitored his breathing all night. They gave him a mask with smoke coming out of it, and emptied his nose with a big pump, and this morning he felt much better, and we could leave.

Jayden was quite the trooper. The nurses kept coming in the room so he had a very short night of sleep. He still woke up this morning in a good mood, he had full of smiles for the nurses and doctors. We were allowed to leave the hospital around 10:00am.

Carnaval de Quebec

It was another nice day out on Sunday, So Catherine and I decided to take our kids to the Carnaval. It was a bit cold, but all the walking kept us warm. I left Jayden at home with daddy, and I only brought Chloe, we had a pleasant but very tiring day. Every once in a while, I get weird ideas like thinking I am in good enough shape to drag Chloe around in a sleigh. I did it, but it was no easy task. I got a months workout out of it.
Here is Catherine with Elliot. He was napping.
Here is Chloe in her sleigh. She walked a little though, because she wanted to be like the others. The only problem was that she wasn't quick enough.
When we went for lunch in the tent, There were a lot of activities. Chloe enjoyed sticking giant magnets of fruits and veggies o the wall. She colored for a while while Wilson and Gabriel made play dough, and enjoyed that. We also tried to get her face painted, but it was 1:30 in the afternoon and she hadn't napped yet so she was getting very grumpy so finally we decided not to. This was the result.
Finally, here we all are after lunch, before getting ready to go back outside.
The kids had a very nice day. They slid down the big ice slide (Chloe also I went with her and she liked it). They ate maple sugar on ice (Chloe didn't want to try it. If she only knew what she missed) and they got to see the ice castle and the bonhomme Carnaval. Catherine and I had a very quiet ride home in the car. Everyone was sleeping.

Just Sitting There

I was getting Chloe ready to go play outside, so I sat Jayden in the corner of his bed. He enjoyed it a lot for some reason. He couldn't stop smiling.

New Pyjama's

Pierette made Pyjama's with the leftover material tha she had from when she helped me make blankets. Chloe modeled them. There is a pair for Jusin and a pair for Jayden. I guess it will be a while before even Jayden wears them.

Sliding

It was beautiful when we got up on saturday morning, so we decided to go sliding later in the afternoon. It got really cold all of a sudden, but Chloe still had a few good runs down the hill. She refused to get on the ski-doo to go up the hill. It was more fun to have daddy carry her up the hill.
Here Jayden was all bundled up and ready to go. He had a nice litle nap while we slid.
Going down the hill, or getting ready too.
