Favourite Place to Play

Now that Jayden can get around pretty much wherever he wants to go, his favourite place to go is in the entrance closet. He plays with the doors for a while and then he usually goes inside and plays with the tools that we store there that go in the garage.

Galerie de la Capitale

We went to Galerie de la Capitale just for something to do and and Chloe loves it. She went on some of the rides all alone, and the whole family went on the merry go round. Chloe really enjoys the horse, and Jayden doesn't really care.

Circus

We went to the Shriners circus with the kids. They really enjoyed it (even though it doesn't really show on the pictures of Chloe). She really wanted to go for an elephant ride. She enjoyed it at the beginning, but the the elephant stopped for a while, and she started panicking. Thank-God it was just a short ride. She liked the rest of the show though, especially when there were animals involved. Jayden was very quiet for the whole show. He was mesmerized by the lights for a while. He has no shirt on because it was way too ho.

Plage Fortier

It was so hot out that my parents and I decided to take the kids to plage Fortier. We hadn't been there in at least 15 years, and it hasn't changed one bit. The kids had lots of fun.

They played in the water.

Jayden loves to eat the sand, and he certainly does not try to hide it.

We covered Chloes legs in sand. We tried to do her whole body, bt she didn't want.

Swimming at Nanna and Papou's place

Justin really enjoys pools. When we were sitting outside one morning he decided that he really wanted to go in. Of course, Chloe had to follow. They had fun for a while in the stairs but then they really wanted to go in, so I had to get in with them.

Zoo de Granby

This weekend the whole family went to Granby zoo (us, Cyn, Yannick and Justin, Nana and Papou) We had beautiful weather and the kids were on their best behaviour. They were still waiting for their supper at 8:00 PM but not one of them complained, not even on the 2 hour drive to and from there.

Here are some of the animals we saw.

Chloe really enjoyed looking at the animals. I thought she would pay very little attention, but I was wrong.

Jayden was there also, but he showed much less interest (obviously he's a little too young), but he was in great spirits nonetheless.

Chloe enjoyed the Kangaroos. I am relly surprised she wanted to take a turn sitting in the Kangaroo's pouch. It depends on the day, but she is not always so brave.

The boys were very tired at the end of the day.

In a few days I will post pictures in the zoo's water park. All three kids really enjoyed swimming in it. The pictures are all on cyn's camera.

Nova Scotia

Chloe, Jayden, and I all went to Nova Scotia for the week with Cyn, Justin, Nana and Papou. We had beautiful weather, and were able to make it ti the beach almost every day. We had lots of fun but the kids were exhausted and were not that easy to deal with.

This was on our last night there. Both boys were exhausted, and they just fell asleep after their milk.

Baie de Beauport

A couple of weeks ago (I am a little behind, I know) it was so beautiful out, I took the kids to the Baie de Beauport. It is really nice there now, they have some water things and a big park for the kids. There is also a beach, but we can't swim in it.

Chloe enjoyed the water games, and both of them enjoyed playing in the sand.

We were all enjoying an ice cream.

I made Chloe hold up her ice cream. I wanted to show that it was Dora. They 2 eyes were gum balls.

Chloe's Big Girl Room

Well we tried to put it off as long as possible but it was finally time to change Chloe's bed. She refused to sleep in her crib. For the past few weeks she has been sleeping with us, or on her crib mattress on the floor of her room. We had to lay with her every single night (which I always said I would never do). We now have her big girl bed so we can now try working on a better bed time routine.

Here is what her bedroom looks like now.

Chloe is modeling on her new bed. Don't let it fool you. She enjoys making the bed and playing on it, but it was quite the crises trying to make her sleep in it alone (she doesn't care where she sleeps if we lay with her. The first night she got her bed, she went alone, but it was 10:30 , and she was too tired to care. Tonight, on the other hand, was a different case. She cried so hard that she threw up (like she did in her crib before we stopped laying her in it). It took about 15 minutes to calm her, then I laid down with her. She was fine until I got up. She started to whimper, so I sat on her toy trunk. I told her I would stay there until she fell asleep. I still had to be there, but at least not in bed with her. Maybe tomorrow I can stand outside the door. It is a step in the right direction. Hopefully!

Ontario

We went to Ontario for the week at Kevin's uncle's cottage. It was FREEZING, but we had a nice time anyway. We couldn't enjoy the lake much because the weather was so cold, but the kids went in a few times anyway. This is Jayden enjoying the swing while we were loading up the car before leaving.

Chloe has never liked watching television. We bought her some Dora DVD'S for the trip, we thought it might keep her busy. Well now she is obsessed with it and that is all she wants to do. We try to limit her to mornings and before bed because that is all she would do.

The kids enjoyed the water while they were in it, but they froze when they got out.
Chloe had just fallen in the water. She was very upset, so she decided to go sit on the rock all alone.
