Our Week in Maine - Overview

My parents, Cyn & Yannick, and Kevin & I all rented a house in Maine on the Ocean for the week. We had good Weather and lots of fun. Here are a few pictures. They are mixed up, and not really in order.


Here is the house we were staying in from the back. It was a beautiful brand new house.

This was our view from the front of the house (from the balcony). We were right on the water. There was a beautiful rock beach.

We ate lots of great food over the week. Here Chloe was showing off the happy face pancakes that Uncle Yannick made for her.

All the above pictures were taken at Echo lake, a fresh water beach in Acadia National park. Yannick and Kevin got really creative with their sand castles. The kids loved them.

The 3 cooks for most of the week. Here they were getting ready to steam lobsters for a homemade surf and turf.

This was the final product, and it was delicious.

Relaxing before bed time in their new PJ's

The above are taken in Bar Harbour a nice touristic town. We spent the afternoon there shopping, and finished off the day at the playground with the kids, because they were so good and let us shop all afternoon.

We went to the beach and Chloe wanted us to bury her completely in sand. She found it hilarious.

We made a fire down by the water one evening and cooked grilled cheese for supper on it. They were delicious. Here the kids were enjoying the fire.

Jayden wanted to do like Chloe, except he didn't understand not to move his arms.

We went to sand beach, a saltwater beach in Acadia park, and it was one of the most beautiful beaches I had ever seen. We went for a walk and at the end, there was a big wall of rocks. I didn't know but Jayden loves to climb and he is good at it also. He made it all the way to the top on his own, and it was quite high (Kevin stood behind him to make sure he didn't fall)

Enjoying our own beach one night before supper. It was a little cooler that evening. So the kids needed warmer clothes. It didn't really matter though, because both boys were soaked when they were done.

The Camp

We decided to go to the camp just for the day yesterday just for something to do. It was beautiful out when we arrived so we went on the beach, but then it started to rain.

Chloe enjoyed fishing while Jayden was fishing. She didn't have a hook on her rod, it would have been much too dangerous, but she really put her heart into it.

Baie de Beauport

Mom and I took Justin, Jayden, and Chloe to the Baie de Beauport last saturday to keep them entertained for a few hours.

Some little boys had made a huge hole in the sand, and then they let them play in it. They had so much fun. It kept the busy for quite a while.

Justin was just a happy little boy. He really enjoys playing in the water.

The 2 boys really had fun throwing rocks. They were dressed the same, so everyone thought they were twins.

A Little of Everything

Ferme Genest

We went to a small farm in St-Nicolas this weekend. You can pick in season fruit, they also have a few animals, and a playground. The kids had a nice time.


There was a huge chair, and for some reason my kids wanted to sit there. Justin refused to get on.

We picked raspberries. The kids really caught on, we weren't sure if they would. Although they ate most of what they picked.

Jayden decided to rest for a while in the center of the field.

Chloe took her job very seriously. She mostly carried the basket in between Cyn and I.

There were wagons, but they weren't giving rides. I guess they are used more in the fall during apple and pumpkin season.

The boys really enjoyed the red tunnel.

Mommy's Little Helper

Jayden loves to help me clean. He always gets wash cloths to help clean the floors. Herer he was helping me bring the products, and that is how he decided to dress while doing it.

First Swim

Here are the kids enjoying a swim. They love being in their floaties, but what they like best is just playing in the stairs (we have stairs insead of a ladder).

The Camp

Kevin went to the fishing camp with both kids last weekend. Nanna Jack and Papou also went. Here is a picture of Kevin and the kids by the lake. I will have more pictures to post later.

Silly Faces

There are 2 things that Chloe and Jayden enjoy lately and both show silly faces. One is a Dora episode, and the other is an Elmo book. So as you can guess, they are always imitating the same silly faces (I think Jayden mostly just does whatever Chloe does). Her they are instead of having their supper.

Ready for Summer

The nice weather is finally here. It is nice that we can take out all the summer clothes. The kids love wearing less layers.

Jayden Finally Got the Tractor Bug

Jayden finally understood that the tractor was fun. Now All he wants to do is sit on it.

As for Chloe...we are not quite there yet. This is how she reacted just to the noise of the tractor. She wasn't even near it. Were working on it.
