Easter

We had a really busy, but fun Easter weekend, with beautiful weather.

We had a beautiful day on Easter saturday, almost like summer. The kids really enjoyed the sunshine at Nanna and Poppa's before supper. Also, Jayden really enjoyed Chloe's sunglasses.

Above are Chloe and Jayden opening their gifts after the egg hunt at Nanna and Poppa's house.

Chloe and Jayden made some cookies with the daycare. This is what they looked like. Jayden's are the top picture and Chloe's the bottom. It is one of the first activities that Jayden participates in. He was able to participate mostly because the materials used were actuall edible. It is a good thing because if you look at his egg, you can tell he was eating them.

These pictures were taken while decoratine the eggs. They are so proud.

Here we were slowly getting ready to go to Nanna and Papou's house for easter supper. Kevin wanted his picture taken also!

Little Boy Toys

Jayden really started playing with toys a lot more in the last few weeks. He can concentrate better and learn things. He also really enjoys his bedtime story and sit through all of it. His favourite one is the farm one, and he can do all the animal sounds (and he also makes them randomly throughout the day). These pictures are to show that he does not only play with dolls, he is also starting to enjoy little boy toys.

Climbing

I guess Chloe has some of her Uncle Yannick in her. Every time she sees a ladder, she wants to climb it. Here she is climbing the scaffolds around the house.

Cabane à Sucre

Yannick's dad was nice enough last weekend to have us over at his sugar camp. It was beautiful out and we had lots of fun.

Here are Chloe and Justin on the snowmobile. Justin loves it. Chloe was acting pretty brave on this picture but she refused to stay on it when someone started it, unlike her cousin, who just sat there until someone took him.

Here is a picture of the 3 of them with uncle Yannick. (it is the best I could do)

Chloe refused to try any of the sugar, and was kind of shy and grumpy for a while. She got over it after a while, and enjoyed it.

Jayden, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of it.

For more pictures, you can go on Justin's blog.

Pots and Pans

Chloe and Jayden love to play with the pots and pans. They usually drag them to the living room. This time they hadn't gotten quite so far.

Dress Up

Chloe and I were putting clean clothes away in her bedroom, when she discovered a drawer with all kinds of random things in it. She decided to try it all on. She made a big mess, but it was worth it, she had so much fun.

Covered in Snow

When we were playing outside today, Chloe really wanted to be covered in snow, like we do with the sand. She found it hilarious.

Little Mommy

I think Jayden has been hanging out with girls for way too long. Here he was all installed to feed the baby.

Crafts

I have been doing lots of crafts with the kids from daycare lately. They really enjoy it.

Here is Jayden. He doesn't participate in craft time much because he prefers eating the materials. However, he does enjoy sitting with the others and playing with paper. I give him a pencil and every once in a while he decides to make a picture instead of eating the pencil.

Today they made valentine's day bandannas. They turned out really well, and they were fairly easy to make even for the younger ones.

Chloe in action, gluing tissue paper to a heart.

Chloe and Florence are really weird. For some reason, everytime they hear the word crafts, they put n their home depot aprons, and they each have a fireman's hat that they put on backwards (they usually lose the hat at some point in the middle of the craft)

Here is a mask of the bonhomme carnaval that they did last week. Chloe is modelling hers

A Walk in the Field

We've had such beautiful weather in January, that we couldn't resist going outside. Here are a few pictures of us walking in the field behind Glen's house. We didn't make it to the river because the kids didn't want to be in the sled's anymore, they wanted to walk.

Chloe was happy to have conquered the top of the mountain. She worked very hard.

Chloe insisted on walking a lot of the way. It made the walk slightly longer.

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas morning at Nanna and Papou's place opening gifts. After lunch all the kids and the dads had nice long naps. Here they were playing before going to supper at their other grandparent's houses with their dads.

Once again, this was the best we could do for a picture of both of them. We didn't even have time to try and sit Justin there.
It was a very nice Christmas despite the late nights and early mornings.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at Nanna and Poppa's house, and then left around 1:00am to go slepp at Nanna and Papou's place. The kids got a little sleep but not much.

This was the best picture we could get of both kids together.

Auntie Melinda bought this hat for Jayden but for some reason it had braids. We used them to tie the hat on Jayden's head. It was the only way he would keep it on.

Classic Jayden picture face.
