Baking

I have to keep Chloe occupied a little more than I used to now, if not her and Jayden gang up and start doing bad things together. So last week we baked some chocolate chip cookies. Chloe poured the ingredients and then mixed them. Her favourite part was tasting. While we were doing that Jayden was having a snack in his high chair.

Just Being Silly

I was folding clothes in the bathroom, and I could hear Chloe and Jayden emptying a cupboard in the kitchen (there is nothing dangerous in it, so I let them to get peace). When I came to check on them, Chloe had found the headlamp, and this is what she looked like. I have no idea how she knew it went there.

Elliots Costume

We went for supper at Scott and Catherine's house last Friday, and Elliot's Halloween costume was laying around. It was a dwarf. We put the hat and beard on Jayden and he found it hilarious. Here he is doing his regular camera smile.

Madison's Birthday

On Sunday, we went to Madison's house to celebrate her 2nd birthday. We had lots of fun decorating pumpkins and cupcakes. It was also funny to see chloe and the other kids playing and running around in their Halloween costumes. Not one of them complained about them.

Here Chloe and Jayden were ready to leave for the party (we waited until we got there to wear the costume because of the car seat).

Here are the pumpkins that Chloe and Jayden decorated at the party. Obviously, they did them all on their own. Jayden had more stickers on at some point, but he decided to take them off and eat them.

Halloween

Saturday evening the kids got all dressed up for Halloween even though it was pouring rain and really windy. It was very hard to get good pictures because we had no electricity (for a whole day). We just had time to finish cooking supper before it went out.

Chloe was dressed up as a spider, it is very hard to see all her legs because she wouldn't lift her arms, but it was very cute. Jayden was Winnie the Pooh (someone lent me the costume). We even had a costume for Doggy, in case Chloe didn't want to wear hers. We went trick or treating at Glen and Caroline's house and at Aunt Helen's. Then we just decided to go to the fire hall where they gave out candy and had a haunted house. At least it was warm there, and we were out of the rain ( Daddy was working there).

Here are Chloe and Jayden with Papou, sitting in the nice dry warmth of the fire hall. We were going to do a couple more houses, but then decided against it and went back home. Chloe was scared of the haunted house, so we turned back and didn't take her through it. Other than that, she was a very good sport about wearing her costume. She didn't complain at all.

Pumpkin Carving

This weekend Kevin carved the big pumpkin that we picked out. Chloe really likes Dora, so we decided to carve her in the pumpkin.

We tried to get Chloe to help empty it out, but she was kind of grossed out by it. She examined everything Kevin was doing though.

Jayden couldn't help, but he was still having fun sitting with us and having his snack.

After a while, they both lost interest and started to play in the kitchen drawer.

Here is the finished product, Chloe loves it.

A Little Tumble

About 3 weeks ago, Jayden had a little stumble off the veranda stairs. He was fine, it was only a 2 step fall, but his face was quite beat up.

Cousins

I just like this picture because Chloe and Justin seem to enjoy each other so much, so I decided to post it.

Organizing the Playroom

You would think that organizing a room is fairly easy, but with 2 kids even that was a challenge. We looked only to find Jayden standing fully dressed in the bucket of cleaning water, and Chloe wanting to be everywhere she wasn't supposed to be. Finally Nana and Papou went to give baths so that Kevin and I could work in peace.

Spaghetti

One of the kids favourite meals is spaghetti. I usually feed Jayden his but on night last week I had something to do so he fed himself. This is what he looked like after. But he did enjoy it.

Bath

Bath time has become such a hard task that I tried giving it the kitchen sink. Surprisingly it went a lot better. Jayden didn't try to climb out and it was much calmer. They found it very funny having their bath in the sink.

Emptying Cupboards

All Jayden ever wants to do now is get into things that he is not allowed. Here he is emptying my cupboards. I spend most of my days putting stuff away.

Fall Day

Kevin had to empty the pool to get it ready for winter. He took the kids outside and they had lots of fun.

Here is Jayden just crawling around.

Here Kevin was tickling Chloe, and she was having lots of fun.

Kevin Covered their legs with leaves, like we do with sand in the summer. When he was done, Chloe and Jayden just rolled themselves out of them.

Pumpkin Picking

On Sunday we all went pumpkin picking. The plan was to go both pumpkin picking and apple picking, but it got way too cold, so we ended up just buying the apples. The kids enjoyed it anyway.

Here Chloe was walking through the field. She had to concentrate very hard on where she was walking because she didn't want to trip.

The kids were really good at posing for us. I am surprised that none of them tried to get off the haystack (probably because they were all frozen).

Jayden was tires of being in the stroller so despite the mud, I let him crawl. Of course, Chloe and Justin started crawling also. They were a nice mess after that.

You can go on Justin's blog for more pictures.

Jayden's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Jayden's birthday this weekend. We did it a few weeks early because both a aunties were coming down for the long weekend. We just had a small party with family.

Jayden was opening his gifts with daddy. Chloe, Justin and Elliot helped a lot.

Jayden was waiting for his cake (Elliot also by the looks of it). He was very tired at this point, so he just stick his hand in the cake, but he didn't really eat any.

Uncle Yannick did a great job of keeping the kids occupied for a good part of the afternoon.

We were trying to put a bow on Justin's head. He refused to keep it on but he found it hilarious when we put it on.

Chloe really enjoyed cake time. Big surprise there!!!
