Big Snowsuit

Chloe stayed home from daycare again because of yegt another snowy day (it is only December). When we went outside it was colder so I had to put Jayden in his bigger snowsuit. Here it is. It is still big, but he should grow into it soon enough.

Oil Bath

Jayden has a huge rash on his bum, caused by the diarrhea he's had for the past week. I called info santé for a clue as to what I could do to make him feel better. They said to bath him in olive oil. This is what we were doing on this picture. They also said to fill his diaper with corn starch. Suprisingly, it works really well. The rash is now almost gone.

A Little Staging

We were trying to get good christmas pictures of Chloe and Jayden to send out to people, but they just would not cooperate. Here are a few that were nice, but it was impossible to get both at once. So, you will not be recieving Xmas pictures of both. We tried!! We must have taken at least 50 pictures.

Chloe could not give Jayden enough kisses. She would be looking at us, and then everytime we clicked to take the picture, she would bend down to kiss Jayden.

Here Chloe was just acting silly.

This one was a good one of Jayden.

Own Bed

Jayden has moved from our room to his own. Now the rest of us are all getting a little more sleep. Chloe has finally started sleeping in her bed again (I guess she was jealous because Jayden slept in our room).

Christmas Tree

We made the Christmas tree on saturday. At first Chloe was a little confused but then we showed her how to put the ornaments on, and she couldn't get enough of. She had fun helping. I will post a picture of the completed tree later.

Dessert

Chloe LOVES desserts. She also insists on eating on her own now, So needless to say, when I gave her chocolate pudding, she was covered in it. But at least she enjoyed it.

Bath Time

Daddy had Jayden all bundled up in a bath robe when he got out of the bath. Jayden seemd to be all warm and cozy.

Snow Fun

It was a beautiful snowy day on friday, so we decided to go outside and play. Chloe didn't really understand what snow was, but she had fun.We had to dress Jayden in a warmer suit than usual. He didn't seem to mind.

Once outside he stayed on the deck, out of the snow, so he didn't get all wet. He slept the whole time, so I guess he didn't mind the cold.

At first Chloe just stood there, she didn't quite understand what to do, but finally she started moving around and pickingup the snow.

Here she found it etremely funny that we buried her legs in the snow. When she discovered that she couldn't move them she started panicking, and we had to uncover them.

I think Chloe had lots of fun for a first day in the snow.

Brother & Sister

Chloe really likes her brother. She likes to help take care of him. She enjoys burping him, she goes and gets his diaper after his bath for me. Here she is just holding him and giving him some kisses.

Halloween

Chloe was dressed as a lion for Halloween. We just went trick or treating to a couple of houses, then we went to visit the haunted house at the fire hall. Chloe is still too young too understand. Jayden came along also for the walk and the fresh air.
Chloe was barely able to walk and bend over (I think we may have over dressed her a little,it wasn't that cold), but she still had lot's of kisses for her little brother.

Chloe's New Sweater

Nan knit a sweater, hat and mitts for Chloe, and sent them from Nova Scotia for her. I just wanted to show how nicely they fit. Thank-You Nan!

Jayden

Jayden was born on Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 at 18:54. He weighed 8lbs 10 oz. It was a fairly easy and short labour.

This was at the hospital after his first bath.

Here Jayden was dressed to go home right before we left the hospital

This picture was taken at home, he looks like he was already smiling, but he is sound asleep.

Daddy has already started tummy time. He doesn't mind it half as much as Chloe did.

Here are a few pictures of Jayden since his birth.

More Updates

Sorry, the past 6 months were very busy, but now that I am off work again, I will start updating the blog again. We have a new member in the family, a little boy - Jayden Jack, born on October 21, 2008. So it is not just Chloe's blog anymore, I will be changing the colors and the title over the next few days.

Chloe's 1st Birthday

I know, I know, I haven't posted pictures in a while. I have been really busy with work, so I didn't have time. I thought Chloe's birthday was a good enough reason to make the time, so here are a few pictures.
She had all her friends over, Laurence, Madison, Edouard, Edward, Elliot, Wilson. Chloe had a nice day, but she is a little independent. She would much rather play on her own.

Here she is standing on the table, her new favourite thing to do. She is ablr to walk all around it.

Here she was opening some of her presents. It's a good thing Daddy and Wilson were tere to help because Chloe wasn't to interested. It would have taken a while all by herself. She got a lot of nice presents. Thank-you everyone.

During cake time Chloe was more confused than anything. She looked at all of us singing as if we were crazy. She didn't even want to touch the cake. Good thing Wilson was there again to help Chloe blow the candles out. She enjoyed eating the cake though. She had 2 big pieces all too herself.
Here are a few pictures of Chloe and her friends.

Finally, here is a picture of Chloe trying the new toy that Edward bought her. This was later, after everyone had left.

Frank & Amé's Cottage

Lot's of people went to Frank and Amé's cottage this weekend for a little outdoor fun. The guys went ski-dooing, snowboarding and sliding down the big hill. It was a beautiful day. Melissa and I had the ''BRILLIANT'' idea to go snowshooing and bring Chloe and Madison up the hill in their sleighs. The guys said ''10 minutes and you will be up the hill it is not long'' Yeah right! Note to self ''never listen to the people who go up the hill on ski-doo'' It was a very steep hill, there is a picture of people at the bottom of it below, but we had to use a different path by foot through the woods with no path, so we kept passing over branches. It took us more than 10 Mins, and I got my work out for the year out of it. Chloe was a trooper though she slept the whole way up. The sleigh must of flipped over 5 times and she never even opened an eye. Thank-god for Mélissa, she had to pull Chloe for the last stretch, because I wasn't going to make it.

The pictures are of us going down. I didn't learn my lesson going up, I decided that going down would be a lot easier. I was wrong. It took just as long, I kept tripping and falling and Chloe kept sliding out of her sleigh (face first in the snow once). We made it down finally, and needless to say we all slept really well that night. It was a lot of work but we had a nice day outside with nice weather and good friends.

Thanks to Amélie and Frank.

10 months and Daycare

Just wanted to keep you guys posted, Chloe was 10 months old yesterday. This morning she went to daycare for the first time. I dropped her off at 8:00 and went to get her at 12:00. I thought she was going to cry but apparently she had lots of fun. She was starting to be whiney when I went to get her, I took her temperature when we got home and she had a fever. She also has a runny nose. I guess she caught whatever I have after all. So I gave her tylenol and now she is down for her third nap of the day. I feel better leaving her at daycare now that I saw how good a reaction she had to it. She is going back on wednesday afternoon. She will be having a nap there. I will let you know how it goes.

New spring coat

Nana bought this spring outfit for Chloe, it comes with pants, but we didn't put them on. She will be able to wear it if all this snow ever melts away. It will fit just right in an other month or so.

Valentine's Day

I know, I am a couple of weeks late, but the pictures were on my dad's camera, not mine. Nanna bought Chloe some chocolate, and she really enjoyed sucking on it. She got angry when we took it away from her.

Trip to Auntie Cyn's

This week we went for a nice visit at Auntie Cyn's. Chloe was a good girl, except that she started crawling last week. We had to run after her all over cyn's non baby proof house.

Here Chloe was all ready to go visit Auntie Cyn at the School where she works. Chloe had lots of fun during story time. They were reading a Robert munsh book, one of her favourites. She got a little bit Chlaustraphobic when all the 20 grade one students crowded around her. Half an hour was plenty of time in the classroom.

Chloe and Yogi were having a small nap, to let us eat our supper in peace, without having to watch them.
Chloe had just finished eating and was playing in her high chair.

Chloe enjoyed running after Yogi a lot. We had to watch her because Yogi is not used to babies. Here she was trying to get to him, she finds it very funny, because she knows she is not supposed to.
We had a very nice week, Thank-you Auntie Cyn, and Uncle Yannick
