Mont Sainte-Anne

Since it was so nice out today Kevin, Chloe, Nanna, Pappie and I decided to go for a nice walk at Mont Sainte-Anne. We had a really nice time and saw great views. I don't know what posessed Kevin and I but we decided to go down the 358 stairs to the bottom of the Jean Larose falls. Nanna and Pappie chickened out. Going down was easy, but coming back up was quite the work out. I carried Chloe down but to come back up I had to get Kevin to do it.

Here are pictures of the great views we saw today, and of the wonderful stairs that we had to go up.

Cereal

Chloe really didn't like cereal so She has been eating fruit and vegetables for the past 3 weeks. Today I decided to try cereal again, and she really liked it. Good thing I had put her new pink plastic bib on because she made quite the mess. She also threw the cereal bowl out of my hand.

First Piggy Back Ride

Daddy was giving Chloe her fist Piggy back ride. We weren't sure if she was ging to enjoy it, but it turned out that she laughed the whole time.

Standing!

Chloe is getting more stable on her feet because she locks her knees so that her legs can't bend. All she ever wants now is to stand up. She gets a smirk on her face when she is doing it that she just can't wipe off.

Gifts from Australia

Kevin's cousin Karen is currently living in Australia, and she sent Chloe a nice gift when she was born. It finally fits. (look at the size of Chloe's thighs)

Nice Outfit

We took these pictures so that Auntie Melinda could see how pretty chloe was wearing the outfit she got for her at the baby shower. It is still a bit big but it looks cute.

A Walk in the Woods

It was so nice out today, that we decided to go for a walk out in the woods near our house. As you can see, Chloe can now go frontward in her snuggly. She loves it. She started off with me carrying her but she was much too heavy after a while so daddy had to take over.

Here are pictures of the scenery that daddy took.

Play and Sleep

Chloe loves to play now. That's all that she ever wants to do. So she finds anything that she can play with, and she fights sleep to do it. In her crib, most of the time it is the rolling things on her aquarium. She won't let her eyes close until finally she falls asleep still doing it because she is so tired.

Turning

Chloe can't quite turn on her own yet, but she tries really hard to do it. Here she started out flat on her back. Her soother ended up above her head because she threw it there. Then she decided that she wanted it back, so she twisted herself around to get it. And of coarse she did all this while yelling at the top of her lungs. Finally I gave it to her, and she fell asleep laying that way.

Sleeping

Chloe really needs her naps now or she gets grumpy. I give her a bath before her afternoon nap, and she can barely stay awake when I dress he afterwards.
For some reason she always has her arms up in the air.
If she is not quite asleep and she loses her soother she gets really upset. She usually starts screeching. She has learnt that she can scream in a high pitched tone, so now she does it constantly.

Labour day BBQ

The firemen held a chicken BBQ for labour day and Chloe had a nice day, she even napped in her stroller.

Here she was getting ready to go.

Pappie was showing her how the chickens were made (they are on the grill in the background).

She also had fun watching daddy play the firemen games (daddy's the one pulling the dummies) and then people watching during supper

By the time we got home, Chloe was exhausted from her day in the sun, she fell asleep right away

New Toy

We bought Chloe a new toy. A seat that vibrates and bounces. She loves it even more than she does the swing. We have to take the toys off if we want her to have a nap, if not she will force to stay awake just to play. It also lays down completely to make a bed.
